Girl Scout Cookies = Slow Death of Miss Musical

Lovelies, I'm sitting here at my desk. I have no Weight Watchers Points left for the day and there's a delicious box of Girl Scout Cookies sitting in my freezer calling my name...
"Miss Musical!!! Pssst! We're right here!!! Come & eat us!!!"

"We taste soooo good!"

"We love you, and want you to make you feel better for having no boyfriend/ Broadway show/ size 2 body! Come & enjoy our tasty toxins!"

Well to that I say - NO MORE G.S. Cookies! NO MORE!!!! You can take your false promises of happiness, sunshine and all that crap and shove it up your pie hole!
(hopefully I'll be able to resist until I go to sleep -- the calling to eat ceases when my head hits the pillow...)

I heart Weight Watchers!

Lovelies, I love Weight Watchers - not gonna lie!

I'm 10 pounds thinner than I was 1 month ago and I'm totally looking forward to loosing the next 12.  It's really a wonderful program and I figured that if I could loose 30 pounds in college, I can sure as hell loose 30 pounds now!  (and I'm 10 pounds closer to my goal of 130!)

Here are some of the foods (other than fruits & veggies & weight watchers bread and cheeses) that I love:

Orville Redenbacher's Smart Pop:  It's 94 % Fat Free AND it's super tasty!  (and filling!)  For a little 100 calorie bag it's only 1 point!  AWESOME!!!

And then there's Sugar Free Jell-o & Fat Free Cool Whip - ZERO points!  Best of all - the Jell-O is actually really good for your nails!

We all knew I loved Diet Coke, but I also love Crystal Light Peach Iced Tea.  It Rocks my world!

Finally, last but not least, I LOVE my Quaker Crunchy Corn Bran Cereal with 8th Continent Light Vanilla Soy Milk.  Mmmm.... All that breakfast-y goodness for only a mere 3 points!

Blue Hill

Lovelies,  I went to a FANTASTIC restaurant last night called Blue Hill.  It's right by Washington Square Park and it's just a wonderful place to eat!

The place is a Manhattan location of the upstate restaurant that is located at Stone Hill Farms.  Everything is freshly picked from the farm, the animals are raised right and fed well - so the meat is PERFECT.  I can't say enough good things about this whole establishment!

My lovely friend H.Co works there and for my birthday she treated me to a little meal!  Her boyfriend is the sous chef at Blue Hill and he made us somewhere between 8 and 10 courses of little and big dishes!

Pre-meal: Wine (Lovely Barbara from Italy) and bread - oh, god the warm bread and FRESH butter!  (the rest I'll try to remember - it's a little foggy, as I was overcome by food lovin' and also was a little drunk)

Course 1:  Baked Kale with salt.

Course 2: Little Quarter Sized Almond Puffs with a sweet pea puree in the middle

Course 3:  A neighbor of the celery family, but it's like lettuce - just one slice - doused in citrus and salt and chives.

Course 4: A split pea soup in a shot glass -served cold- yum!

Course 5: More soup - this time hot with shitake mushrooms - and I think it was a different flavor than the one before...

Course 6: A HUGE Scallop with lovely green sweet pea puree around it!  And there was also mushrooms and two little boneless chicken pieces.  Fantastic!

Course 7: I had the lamb & H. Co had the fish.  Let me tell you friends, by this point I was SO full that I had two bites and had to stop eating.  It was delicious and I saved the rest of my lamb with nettles in pea puree for lunch today.  (I just devoured it about 1/2 hour ago...  Was lovely even re-heated)

Course 8: Dessert number 1.  Peanut butter sorbet with strawberry jelly underneath and what tasted like Graham cracker crumbs - delightful!

Course 9: Dessert number 2.  Birthday souffle!  I got my own chocolate souffle with a candle next to it and vanilla sorbet.  The chocolate-y goodness made me so happy!

Course 10: Berries and cream.  The most beautiful fresh strawberries, blueberries and the lightest most lovely cream I've ever had.

Washed it down with a final swig of wine and ROLLED out of the restaurant.  (You know it's bad when you're not carrying that much an you're not that tired, but you have to take a cab home because you're so full!)

I love this place!  I should really bring all my first dates here...

These Are a Few of My FAVORITE THINGS!!

Lovelies,

Oprah has her favorite things.

Maria in "The Sound of Music" does, too - so I thought I'd share a few of mine!

Let's start with the BEAUTY part:
The Body Cream at Bath & Body Works in Black Raspberry Vanilla (the boys love it!)  Plus, it's cream which means it won't dry out as fast as lotion will!
Moisture Surge Relief from Clinique.  LOVE this product!  (didn't realize the pic would be so gi-normous!) Makes my skin feel great!  And for a girl who is prone to dry skin - this lets my thristy skin take a tall drink.
Bumble & Bumble Hair Tonic.  This stuff will re-hydrate my over-dyed blonde tresses any time I want!  It's lightweight, makes it easy for you to comb hair when wet AND smells yummy! Plus, saying the name is rather fun...  (Side story - I dated a guy who worked at L'Oreal hair care development and we argued about this product all the time!  Aren't you all proud of me that I stood my ground and didn't change my opinion just for a guy??!!  Now he's gone & my hair still looks fabulous!)
Bare Escentuals.  This make up has CHANGED MY LIFE!!!  I love it!  Love the coverage!  Love the blend-a-bility, love the SPF 15, love it all!  If you don't have the starter kit yet - do yourself a favor and go to Sephora & buy it!!

Now onto the CLOTHING Part:
Calypso "Julia" style Dresses.  This wrap dress rocks my world!  Plus they just had a deal where you could buy two for $135.  And it can wrap four different ways!!  What a great thing!

Gap Long & Lean Jeans.  They need to make these things forever.

Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Bras.  Seriously.  It's the only type of bra
I own.  Makes the boosoms nice & round (not pointy - I hate pointy boobies!)

And Finally - the FOOD! (Hooray for non-anorexia!)
Papa Johns Pizza.   Lovelies, I could die happy knowing that this was my last meal!
The Chocolate Covered Mammoth Strawberries at Godiva.  I try to have at least one a month.  (They're so freakin' expensive, but worth every penny!)
Starbucks Skinny Vanilla Lattes.  'Nuff said.
Peanut Thai Curry with Coconut rice at Wave Thai in New York OR Pha Rom Long Song at Raum Mit in St. Paul.  Both are to die for.  Me gusta Thai food.

Finally, the perfectly lovely, always wonderful Diet Snapple Raspberry Iced Tea.
Would love to hear some of my readers favorites!
... so I Simply Remember my Favorite Things and then I don't FEEL, SO UN-CAST-ABLE!
